The proposed project includes the following: 300 GPM Well (Oktoc Rd.) - The well includes yard piping, chemical feed systems, electrical, control system improvements, 100 Kw generator, and all appurtenances.40 Horsepower Well Pump Replacement at Existing Well (Akins Rd.) - This well pump replacement includes pump, drop pipe, well head, yard piping, chemical feed systems, electrical, control system improvements, and all appurtenances. The Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents may be examined at the following locations: OKTOC WATER ASSOCIATION located at 2112 EAST POOR HOUSE ROAD, STARKVILLE, MS 39759 and Cook Coggin Engineers, Inc., 703 Crossover Road, Tupelo, Mississippi 38801. Minority and women's business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs. Any contract or contracts awarded under this invitation for bids are expected to be funded in whole or in part by anticipated funds from the ARPA Rural Water Associations Infrastructure Grant (RWAIG). Neither the State of Mississippi, the Local Governments and Rural Water Systems Improvements Board, nor any of their employees is or will be a party to this invitation for bids or any resulting or related contracts. The Engineer shall furnish and establish base lines for locating the principal component parts of the project together with a suitable number of bench marks adjacent to the project. 9.4.1 The Contractor shall carefully preserve bench marks, reference points and stakes and, in case of willful or careless destruction, he shall be charged with the resulting expense of replacement.
