Saving Project...

Site work and paving for a road / highway in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

Since 2017, the Public Works Department has utilized reclamite pavement rejuvenation as part of the Department's roadway preventive maintenance program. Reclamite is an emulsion made up of specific petroleum oils and resins and is formulated to extend the life cycle of asphalt pavement by restoring and preserving the asphalt's binder. This product helps reduce cracks and helps prolong the life of the pavement. Village Staff has observed the success of reclamite in various areas throughout the Village. Staff will apply approximately 300,000 square yards to pavement surfaces. As of July 16, 2024, construction is underway. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
