The Town of Miami Lakes (the "Town") will be accepting sealed Bids from qualified firms to supply and install new Automated Transfer Switch (ATS) and controller that are compatible with our existing generator (Caterpillar model C9, 250 KW - standby generator). To include testing and commissioning of the new equipment, and provision of training on the proper use and maintenance of the new equipment. The new ATS contractor and controller should be of high quality and reliable of the Zenith ZTG series or similar, along with a harness, mechanical lugs, and Polaris taps, to ensure optimal performance and longevity. The equipment should come with a manufacturer's warranty. The equipment should be compatible with our existing generator and be compliant with the applicable standards and regulations, including but not limited to The Florida Building Code (in accordance with NFPA 70 & 70A), the latest adopted edition of the National Electrical Code (NEC), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. The Successful Bidder must, within fourteen (14) calendar days after receiving a Notice of Award, submit a performance and payment bond ("Bond") using the attached Performance Bond forms in the amount of 100% of the Contract value. The Bond will guarantee the completion of the Work covered by the Contract Documents as well as the payment of all suppliers, Subcontractors, and the Contractor's workforce. The Bond(s) shall not contain a provision allowing the Surety(ies) to cancel the Bonds prior to the completion of the Contract, including any options to extend the term of the Contract To be eligible for award of this project, bidders must: 1. Possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience performing Generator transfer switch installation with similar scope and/or projects. 2. Must have completed at least five (5) Generator transfer switch installation projects of similar scope and value performed within the last three (3) years; and 3. Possess a valid State of Florida or Miami-Dade County License to perform the work outlined in this ITB. The Bond must be executed by a surety company of recognized standing, authorized to do business in the State of Florida as a surety Notice of Award means any correspondence from the Town that informs the successful bidder of a contract award for this ITB. All questions about the meaning or intent of the ITB, must be directed in writing and submitted by email to the Procurement Office, at procurement@miamilakes-fl.gov. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, with or without cause, to waive technical errors and informalities, or to cancel or re-issue this solicitation. The Town also reserves the right to reject the Bid of any Bidder who has failed to previously perform under a contract or who is in arrears to the Town.
