All rights of way and easements anticipated for the Project have been obtained. All asphalt mixes need to meet GDOT requirements. Paving must be completed within (3) days of milling. Paving specs for Circle Dr. are as follows: Paving shall be from Duke St. to Duke St. Approximately .410 mile. The width is 18'. Milling entire road by square yard. Milling depth 3 1/2". 2" 19.0 mm binder shall be priced by ton. 1 1/2" 9.5 (type 1, group 1) asphalt topping priced by ton.. Paving specs for East Ave. are as follows: Paving shall be from Circle Dr. to Circle Dr. Approximately .151 mile. The width is 22'. Milling entire road by square yard. Milling depth 3 1/2". 2" 19.0 mm binder shall be priced by ton. 1 1/2" 9.5 (type 1, group 1) asphalt topping priced by ton.. Striping (newly paved surface) by linear foot. Paint - No thermoplastic. Solid center lines (newly paved surface). Paving specs for S. Enloe St. are as follows: Paving shall be from Mill St. to Fortune St. Approximately .134 mile. The width is 21'. 11/2" leveling (entire road) shall be priced by ton. 1 1/2 "9.5 mm (type1, group 1) asphalt topping priced by ton. Striping (newly paved surface) by linear foot. The deadline for submission of questions shall be Tuesday, Apr. 16, 2024. The Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis by Oct. 30, 2024. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after Bid opening, except as otherwise expressly provided by applicable law. A map of the Streets can be viewed in the Office of Public Works, 2776 South Highway 27 Bypass, LaFayette, Georgia 30728. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid. Both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond will be required in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price. The City of LaFayette reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive technicalities and informalities.
