Reference Number 0000268943 Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/05/16 03:00:00 PM EDT Bid Intent Deadline 2024/05/21 02:00:00 PM EDT Pricing Lump sum The City of Iqaluit is seeking Quotations for construction services related to remove various hazardous waste materials from different areas in Iqaluit. The City of Iqaluit Department of Public Works and Engineering (the City) is issuing a Request for Tender (RFT) for qualified Proponents to provide construction services as further outlined in this RFT document. The purpose and objective of this project is to remove various hazardous waste materials from the West 40 Landfill as well as any other areas as requested by the City. Once the contractor has removed the materials, they will then prepare the materials for sealift and ship them to the south for final proper disposal. The contractor will also be required to supply storage equipment/materials for the Citys use. The details of the scope of work are described in detail in Part V Terms of Reference. It should be noted that in previous years the project was structured such that the Contractor became the owner of sea containers that contained waste. As part of this contract, for each storage item containing waste that is removed by the contractor, the contractor shall supply equivalent storage item to the City at the time of removal. The City shall become the new equivalent storage item supplied. Any storage items containing hazardous waste removed by the contractor and any storage items supplied by the contractor shall be inspected by a City representative to determine if the state of the storage items is acceptable to carry out the work. The Contractor shall between the date of these Articles of Agreements and October 31, 2024 in a careful and workmanlike manner, diligently perform and complete the following Work: The purpose and objective of this project is to remove various hazardous waste materials from the West 40 Landfill as well as any other areas as requested by the City.
