Project Description: Removal of existing cooling tower including existing pump, associated piping, electrical wiring, and controls wiring. Installation of new cooling tower on new elevated piers and beams, including new associated piping, electrical wiring, and controls wiring. Modification of existing concrete pad and sump pit. Construction of new pump house containing installation of new electrical panels, transformer, pumps, variable frequency drives, electric ceiling heater, exhaust fan, including new associated piping, electrical wiring, and controls wiring. Construction of new retaining wall and new fencing surrounding new cooling tower. All inquiries for information should be directed to David Reid at reidd@charlottesville.gov Contractor Requirements: o Prior to award of contract and commencing with the work, the contractor is to submit all required insurance and bonds in accordance with the City of Charlottesville requirements. o Within ten (10) calendar days after execution of this Construction Contract, the contractor is to submit: o The Construction Schedule; o A Personnel Chart which lists by name, job category and responsibility the General Contractor's primary employees who will work on the Project; o The General Contractor's Subcontractors and Suppliers, listing by name and general Project responsibility each subcontractor and supplier who will be utilized by the General Contractor to provide goods or services with respect to the Project; and, o Compensation Schedule, to include a Schedule of Values for payment of the Contract Price on a lump sum basis. o Within fifteen (15) calendar days after execution of this Construction Contract, the contractor is to submit a submittal schedule. o The contractor shall secure and pay for all necessary bonds, permits, fees, tests and inspections.
