Orange Line Variable Message Signs (VMS) Installation. The Scope of Work is to be supplied hereunder for the primary use of the MTS. MTS is a California public agency established by California Public Utilities Code, Section 120000. et. seq. MTS and its subsidiaries are subject to the California Tort Claims Act. MTS strongly encourages bidders to register to become a vendor on Online. Vendors can receive information about bid notices, addenda, bid awards, submit bids online (when applicable), and view and update in their portal. Bidders are advised that the MTS website link above is the only true source of information for MTS procurements. MTS shall not be held responsible for other third-party websites that may post some or all of MTS's solicitation documents. MTS reserves the right to accept any Bid, or any part or parts thereof, or to reject any and all Bids. As a condition of award the successful Bidder will be required to execute MTS Standard Agreement found in this IFB. Please read this agreement carefully. The successful Bidder may be required to provide a copy of its latest financial statement prior to award. Bid Valid - Bids shall be firm for one hundred and twenty (120) days from and after the stated closing time Liquidated Damages - Contractor will pay MTS the sum of $4,000 for each and every calendar day of delay beyond the time prescribed in the Contract Documents for finishing the Work, as Liquidated Damages and not as a penalty or forfeiture. Estimated Bid Value - $206,000 Project Duration - 180 Calendar Days from the Insurance of the Notice to Proceed not including equipment lead times Bid Bond 10.00% Payment Bond 100.00% Performance Bond 100.00% Each Bid must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or a Bid Bond in favor of MTS in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the Total Bid Price. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish MTS with Payment and Performance Bonds equal to 100% of the Contract Price. Bonds shall be on the forms included in the Contract Documents. MTS will not accept bonds on any other form. Deadline for Submitting Written - Questions/Clarifications and/or Request for Approved Equals (RFAs): 5:00 P.M., Prevailing Local Time, on May 15, 2019 MTS Issues Response to Written Questions/Clarifications and/or RFAs Deadline: June 4, 2024
