The Project consists of roadway and circulation-related improvements within the boundaries of SMF beginning near the intersection of Lindbergh Drive and Crossfield Drive near SMF's southern entrance. Specifically, these improvements consist of widening Lindbergh Drive, to enable the addition of a center left hand turn lane and sidewalk adjacent to Lindbergh Drive, and the construction of a short "on ramp" connecting Lindbergh Drive to Airport Boulevard allowing traffic to exit Lindbergh Drive and enter southbound onto Airport Boulevard. Sacramento International Airport (SMF) is experiencing an increase in cargo operations and likewise associated vehicular traffic. The increased traffic on Lindbergh Drive is creating challenges and congestion when delivering cargo to the freight area and ultimately, the airfield. Recently, the West Cargo Apron was expanded to provide three additional cargo aircraft parking positions to support the cargo facilities, and it is anticipated another expansion will be required in the near future to continue supporting the growth of air cargo operations and the development of freight facilities. Question Submission Deadline: May 17, 2024, 3:00pm Due to the continuous anticipated growth and ability to support more cargo aircraft operations, there has been an associated increase in semi-truck / tractor-trailer traffic on Lindbergh Drive. This crucial roadway provides access to airport parking, terminal buildings, general aviation hangars, air cargo operations, employee offices, and other tenant facilities. In addition to the truck/vehicle congestion, the existing pavement on Lindbergh Drive is in poor condition and requires rehabilitation. This Project will consist of pavement rehabilitation, relocation of existing street lighting, widening the existing roadway to support the turning movements of the semi-truck / tractor-trailer traffic and the addition of a by-pass lane connection to outbound Airport Boulevard.to the Cross Creek Township Board of Trustees, said bonds to be unconditionally payable to Cross Creek Township Board of Trustees. Said bonds to be that of an approved Surety Company authorized to transact business in the State of Ohio and shall be underwritten by a surety that is listed ln the most current Department of Treasury Circular 570, "Surety Companies Acceptable of Federal Bonds."
