The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to invite external stakeholders to review and comment on the potential structure of NYSERDA's next solicitation for Offshore Wind Renewable Energy Certificates (ORECs) and next solicitation for offshore wind supply chain infrastructure, in alignment with the Public Service Commission in the October 12 2023 Order Denying Petitions Seeking to Amend Renewable Energy Contracts, Governor Hochul's subsequent announcement of New York's 10-Point Action Plan and NYSERDA's April 12, 2024 update to ORECRFP22-1. Through this RFI, NYSERDA is seeking information from interested stakeholders, including offshore wind project developers and owners, renewable energy system equipment manufacturers and supply chain partners, domestic steel mills and steel component manufacturers, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firms, agricultural stakeholders, labor stakeholders, project host municipalities, industrial development agencies (IDAs), disadvantaged communities, minority- and women-owned business enterprises (MWBEs), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOBs), other public or private stakeholders and members of the general public. Stakeholders responding to this RFI are referred to throughout as "Respondents." Through this RFI, NYSERDA is seeking information from interested stakeholders, including large-scale renewable energy project developers and owners, renewable energy system equipment manufacturers and supply chain partners, domestic steel mills and steel component manufacturers, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firms, agricultural stakeholders, labor stakeholders, project host municipalities, industrial development agencies (IDAs), disadvantaged communities, minority- and women-owned business enterprises (MWBEs), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOBs), other public or private stakeholders and members of the general public.
