Renovation of a mixed-use development in Boise, Idaho. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

The Work to be included in the Construction Contract is generally described as: providing all materials and labor for removal and replacement of existing HVAC rooftop units (RTUs) located at three Owner facilities three (3) RTUs at the Ada County Jail, twenty-seven (27) RTUs at the 400 N. Benjamin Lane Campus, and eight (8) RTUs at the Expo Idaho Building at the Western Idaho Fairgrounds; all as more specifically described in this Project Manual, and as detailed in the plans, notes and specifications included herein (the "Project"). This Project is being funded, in whole or in part, by State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) made available to the County under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) through federal award number SLFRP3408 awarded to Ada County, Idaho by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Any and all questions, substitution requests (which must be submitted using the AIA form as found at Exhibit C hereto), requests for clarification, or explanations desired by potential Bidders must be submitted in the Vendor Discussions section of the Bonfire project listing, and received no later than May 6, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. The security shall be in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the combined amount of the Total Bid Amount (the combined total of the Base Bid Amount and Owner's Contingency Allowance). A Bid shall not be considered unless one of the forms of Bidder's security is enclosed with it. Bonds. Before the Construction Contract is signed, the successful Bidder must furnish performance and labor and material payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the Construction Contract amount, as allowed in Idaho Code 54-1926. The bonds shall be provided by a surety company or companies with AM Best rating(s) of A-VIII or better. If the surety does not have a current AM Best rating it must be currently certified by the U.S. Department of Treasury as an approved surety with an underwriting limitation greater than the bond amount. All sureties must be authorized to do business in the state of Idaho. All bonds shall name the County as obligee with copies of the bonds provided to Ada County Procurement. The Bidder shall include the premiums for such bonds in its Bid. Substantial Completion of the Work is required no later than June 26, 2025. Final Completion of the Work is required no later than July 3, 2025. Auxiliary aids or services for persons with disabilities are available upon request.
