Student Union Modernization and Expansion Project. GENERAL INFORMATION: This project will modernize and expand the existing 60 year-old Student Union Facility at the District's Rocklin campus. The scope of the project will include modernization and renovation of the existing Building J - Student Union (approximately 27,000 gsf ) and the existing Building K - Bookstore (approximately 10,000 gsf) along with some expansion and infill of existing covered areas. The project will include replacement of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, seismic retrofit, glazing and storefront replacement, exterior skin replacement and reroofing along with substantial modernization of the sitework adjacent to the buildings. The project will not include any work in the Kitchen in Building J, which was recently remodeled. The construction cost estimate of the project is $27,600,000 with a construction duration of approximately 18 months. The project delivery method will be design-bid-build. Refer to attached site plan for reference, attached hereto as Attachment 1. The project is being funded by the Measure E bond Deadline to submit questions 5/14/2024 at 3:00 pm Site Walk Meeting. A Mandatory Site Walk Meeting will be held at 10:00 AM on 6/4/2024. Additional details will be provided to Finalists with the Scope of Project document. Each Finalist may bring up to four attendees. Attendance will be taken at the beginning of the meeting. Failure to attend, tardiness or leaving the meeting early will render the Firm ineligible to interview for the Project. The purpose of this meeting is to allow the Finalists to see the facility and ask questions regarding the scope of the project.
