Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in West Point, Georgia. Design plans call for the construction of a 75-room hospitality development; for site work for a hospitality development; restaurant; restaurant; retail development; and retail development.

As of March 2, 2026, project is in planning and design. Design/engineering firm has been identified. They will coordinate with the Georgia Department of Transportation on entrance design and internal road planning. These steps will support development efforts, allowing developer to begin construction of the new Marriott-branded hotel. The City of West Point and the West Point Development Authority (WPDA) are soliciting responses from professional development teams to develop, execute, and deliver construction of a catalytic redevelopment project on development authority owned site, of approximately 13.87 acres. The redevelopment site is located at Interstate 85 GA Exit 2 and State Highway 18/E 10th Street. Proposed uses should address needs in West Point and the local market and leverage opportunity afforded by this unique location of the Lot. The proposed development should take advantage of density potential and incorporate uses including, but not limited to: - Moderate Hotel Facility - Minimum of 75 guest rooms - Interior access - Pet friendly - National recognized franchise is preferred - Restaurant/Quick Service Restaurant(s) - Coffee/Drive Thru - Grocery Store/Retail Services - National recognized brands are preferred Question Deadline - May 17, 2024, at 4:00 pm. Writen responses to questions will be posted on the city webpage via addendum no later than May 29, 2024, at 12:00 pm. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
