Mechanicsburg, PA 17050 Proposal: To construct two new buildings additions, a new service drive, loading docks, relocation of a playground and associated Stormwater Management facilities. _________________________________________________________________________________ A. The Project consists of selective demolition of portions of the existing Cumberland Perry Area Career & Technical Center and construction of additions and renovations. Renovation Construction includes the following programs: Food Services, Early Childhood Education, Criminal Justice, Fire & Rescue, and the Administrative Office. New Construction includes the following programs: Food Services (new teaching café), Advanced Manufacturing, Automation Robotics & Electronics, Pre-Engineering, Welding, Automotive Collision, and Logistics. Furthermore, the Project includes the total demolition of the existing Logistics building. For Pennsylvania Department of Education accounting purposes only, the Plancon G08 form shall be completed to identify specific costs. B. Generally, the new construction consists of load bearing masonry, steel joists and metal deck, masonry veneer, exterior metal wall panels, Pre-Engineered Metal Building Systems, mechanically attached EPDM membrane roofing, aluminum windows, storefront systems, casework and interior finishes along with the specified mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. C. The Contract Documents, dated 4/23/2024 were prepared for the Project by Crabtree, Rohrbaugh & Associates, 401 E. Winding Hill Road, Mechanicsburg, PA. 17055, phone: (717) 458- 0272. Cumberland-Perry Area Career and Technical Center Additions and Renovations Each bid shall be accompanied by bid security in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid amount and all alternate bid amounts in the form of a Bid Bond as described in the Supplementary Instructions to Bidders. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the forms provided in the Project Manual, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the Contract, and each with satisfactory corporate surety, must be furnished by the successful Bidder prior to execution of a Contract. Bids may not be modified, withdrawn or cancelled by the Bidder for sixty (60) calendar days following the actual date of opening thereof, except as provided by the Commonwealth Procurement Code. However, if award of Contract is delayed by the required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds or the award of a grant or grants, Bids may not be withdrawn by the Bidder for a period not to exceed 120 days from the date of bid opening in accordance with Pennsylvania law. This project is subject to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor and Industrys Prevailing Wage Pre-Determination
