The Newport City Board of Education is now accepting bids for the MOWING OF GRASS and CAMPUS LANDSCAPING at Newport Grammar School for the 2024 calendar year beginning on May 2024. Mowing and landscaping will be on the following schedule for the calendar year: January - February o No mowing, unless requested by the Director. o Annual tree and landscape trimming as needed. o Cleanup of fallen/accumulated leaves March o One mowing during the fourth week of the month. o Annual tree and landscape trimming as needed. o Landscape Weeding April - October o One mowing during the second week of the month o One mowing during the fourth week of the month. o Landscape Weeding November o One mowing during the second week of the month. o Cleanup of fallen/accumulated leaves December o No mowing, unless requested by the Director. o Cleanup of fallen/accumulated leaves Bidding Requirements: o All mowings must include trimming, removing litter, raking grass (as needed), and blowing off sidewalks and pavement. o Weedkiller only where approved by Director. o Bidder must show proof of contractor's license and insurance. o Submitted bids should be based upon a monthly price.
