Renovation of a medical facility in Newport, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
All Bidders must be licensed Contractors as required by the "CONTRACTOR'S LICENSING ACT OF 1976," and as passed by the 89th General Assembly of the State of Tennessee. Furthermore, the Contractor should have the necessary licensing classifications as listed in Rules of Tennessee Board for Licensing General Contractors-Chapter 0680-1. Each Bid must be accompanied by a certified check or by a Bidder's Bond executed by the Bidder and a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Tennessee, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid. This Project is required to comply with Davis-Bacon wage rates. The successful Bidder will be required to execute an acceptable performance and payment bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price prior to the execution of the contract. Cocke County reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids and to accept the bid deemed most favorable to the interest of the school system. Questions regarding this bid request shall be directed, in writing via e-mail, to Lewis Group Architects. All technical questions will be addressed by written addendum issued by the architect. A. Instructions to bidders shall be the "Instructions to Bidders", AIA Document A701, 2018 Edition (not bound herewith). B. In addition to the AIA Document A701, the following items apply: 1. Any questions during the bid phase of the project, from General Contractors, Subcontractors, Suppliers/Manufacturers, or all other interested parties, should be in writing and sent to the attention of: Seth Schweitzer Lewis Group Architects Knoxville, Tennessee 37919 EMAIL sschweitzer@lewisgroup.net C. The last day for questions during the bid phase will be determined and communicated in a future addendum during bidding. Questions must be received by 4:30 pm, local time.
