Pomperaug Elementary School, (PES), located at 607 Main Street South in Southbury, and Gainfield Elementary School, (GES), located at 307 Old Field Road in Southbury, have been in use since 1967 and 1941, respectively. The District is evaluating these two schools to determine if the best educational use going forward is to Renovate as New each school or combine both schools into a single New school. This Feasibility Study, including plans, phasing plans and cost estimates, will be used to determine the path forward for the District. The District is soliciting qualification statements from Architecture Firms to assist in the design and engineering effort related to the feasibility study for PES and GES. Respondents should demonstrate that they possess the expertise and experience required to provide feasibility design services for both new construction and rehabilitation construction of school facilities. The District's project framework, and ultimate expectations are more clearly detailed below. The BOE will only accept questions, in writing, via e-mail regarding this RFQ until May 1, 2024.
