This solicitation is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for construction work at Brown V Board of Education National Historical Park in Topeka, KS. This is a Sealed Bid. The complete specifications, drawing, provisions, and clauses are available on http://www.sam.gov. The work consists of: demo and replace existing EDPM roofing and tapered insulation to match existing on the auditorium flat roof, auditorium vestibule, two upper flat roofs. The existing gutter liner will be used as the base material for a new gutter liner. It also includes removal and replacement of the existing Sno-Trace (or equal) system with an upgraded commercial snow melt system. Additional requirements information is provided in the solicitation, specifications, supporting documents and other pertinent attachments. PROJECT LOCATION: Brown V Board of Education National Historical Park, 1515 SE Monroe, Topeka, KS 66612 Magnitude of Construction: Between $250,000 and $500,000 BID OPENING INFORMATION: Public Bid Opening. BONDS: A bid guarantee is required 20%. Bid bond is required to be submitted on a Standard Form 24. Performance and Payment bonds/protection in the amount of 100% of final contract award amount. NAICS: The associated NAICS Code is 238160. The small business size standard is $19.0M. IMPORTANT NOTICE: New size standards were updated effective December 19, 2022. Businesses registered in System for Award Management (SAM.gov) must update their SAM registration in order to have their small business status updated based on the new size standards.
