Introduction:
The purpose of this document is to outline the scope of work for installing lettering on the
side of school buildings to clearly identify each building.
Project Overview:
The project involves installing lettering on the exterior facades of all school campus
buildings to indicate the name or identification of each building within the premises. The
lettering will be provided by the District.
Locations:
AC Stelle Middle School, AE Wright Middle School, Agoura High School, Bay Laurel Elementary
School, Calabasas High School, Chaparral Elementary School, Lindero Canyon Middle School,
Lupin Hill Elementary School, Mariposa School, Round Meadow Elementary School, Sumac
Elementary School, White Oak Elementary School, Willow Elementary School, and Yerba
Buena Elementary School
Scope of Work:
3.1 Site Survey:
- Conduct a thorough survey of the buildings to determine the optimal location.
- Consider factors such as visibility, architectural aesthetics, and structural integrity.
3.2 Installation:
- Prepare the exterior surfaces of the buildings for installation, ensuring they are clean and free
from debris.
- Install the lettering securely using appropriate mounting hardware and techniques.
- Drill holes in the walls (stucco, T-11 siding, wood beams, metal) and use a Scotch-Weld Epoxy
in the holes and use PL Premium Polyurethane Construction Adhesive on the back of the letters
for extra holding.
- Ensure proper alignment and spacing of the lettering for aesthetic appeal and readability.
- Provide lifts for access
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations throughout the installation process.
3.3 Quality Assurance:
- Conduct thorough inspections of the installed lettering to ensure it meets the specified quality
standards.
- Rectify any defects or issues promptly.
3.4 Districts Acceptance:
- Coordinate with the District to inspect the completed installation.
o - Obtain Districts acceptance and sign-off upon satisfactory completion of the project.
