The Denville Board of Education is seeking quotes for grass cutting, Fall and Spring Clean Up for the period of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025. Prices are firm and fixed. No additional charges will be allowed for work overlooked. Company must furnish all labor, materials and all necessary equipment necessary to all work as described below: 1) Grass cutting, Spring and Fall clean up must be performed at least weekly for the following locations: a. Lakeview School, 44 Cooper Road, Denville - All areas plus the Environmental Garden and Peace Place b. Riverview School, 33 St. Mary's Place, Denville c. Valleyview School, 320 Diamond Spring Rd., Denville d. Riverview Annex, 100 Us Highway 46, Denville 2) No grass cutting is to take place while school is in session. 3) Company must comply with the following insurance: Agrees to maintain commercial general liability insurance with limits not less than $500,000 per occurrence and $1,000,000 in aggregate, including coverage for products and completed operations, bodily injury and property damage. Comprehensive automobile liability insurance having a combined single limit of not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence. Workers' compensation insurance for their employees having single limit of not less than $500,000 per occurrence. 4) All requests for payment must include dates and times when services were performed. Payment will be remitted within 30 days of invoice date. 5) Definition of "Clean Up" a. Spring Cleanup: Removal and disposal of all winter debris. Edging of all planting beds, tree rings, curbs and sidewalks. Cutting back of ornamental grasses and perennials. Prepare grounds for weekly maintenance service. b. Turf Maintenance: All turf areas shall be cut at a height of 3-4" as conditions dictate using a rotary-type or reel-type mower. Mowing equipment with recycling capability should be used wherever possible to permit the recycling of clippings back to the turf areas. Excessive clippings will be removed as necessary and recycled through commercial recycling processes. Mowing patterns shall be employed to encourage upright growth and permit the recycling of clippings where possible. Trimmings around beds, trees, shrubs sign and foundations shall be performed with each mowing. Clippings shall be blown from all paved and mulched areas. Turf adjacent to sidewalks, curbs and concrete slabs, shall be maintained, as well. Turf maintenance to be conducted weekly (weather permitting) July through October. c. Leaf Maintenance: Company will recycle leaves back into the landscape wherever appropriate utilizing mulching equipment. Where leaves must be removed due to high profile areas, they will be removed from site and recycled via an appropriate landscape waste recycling process. The company will remove and dispose of leaves from planting beds, walkways, turf areas and other high profile areas. Weekly mowing may continue depending upon weather conditions. Final cleanup may continue into December, based solely on weather conditions. d. Shrub Trimming: Shrubs and ornamental trees shall be trimmed one time during the landscape season to achieve a constantly manicured look. Pruning of trees up to 14' high is included in the trimming. The Company will maintain uniform branching height of 8' above all walkways and roadways. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all quotes, and to waive immaterial informalities, or to accept any quotes which in the opinion of the Board of Education, will be in the best interest of the school district. The Board reserves the right to award a contract for equipment, supplies, and/or services to a single vendor or two or more vendors.
