This project consists of the construction of accessible site improvements to implement an accessible circulation path from the softball bleacher seating to the parking lot for Lima City Schools at 1 Spartan Way Lima, Ohio 45801. This project includes site grading, construction of concrete ramp, steel pipe guard and handrail construction, sidewalk demolition and curb ramp construction, and all other items called for on the plans, specifications and bid documents for this project. Penalties will be implemented for non-compliance with project plans, specifications, and bid documents. A warranty will be required for this project. This project has a completion date of August 21, 2024 Bidders MUST COMPLY with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Allen County and the City of Lima, Ohio as determined by the US Department of Labor. Davis Bacon Wage Rates are mandated for this project. All proposals shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) and a contract bond with surety satisfactory to the Board of Education for the full amount (100%) of the bid, made payable to Lima City Schools. Such bond is to serve as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into and the performance of it properly secured. The awarding of the contract,if awarded, will be made by the Board of Education, Lima City Schools on or about May 20, 2024. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any/or all proposals. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, any proposal having erasures or corrections in the price sheet may be rejected; any proposal in which unit prices are omitted or in which unit prices are unbalanced may be rejected; any proposal accompanied by an insufficient or irregular bond or certified check may be rejected. No materials shall be ordered, or work completed, before all relevant permits are issued. Work shall continue in an expeditious manner until the work is complete.
