consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor necessary for the power conduit and wire, disconnects, control and signal wiring, emergency generator replacement, and installation and wiring of control panels provided by Contract No. 1 for the UV disinfection system and flow meter as defined in greater detail in the Contract Documents. Accompanying each bid must be a bid bond or certified check made payable to the order of the Village of Broadalbin in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bidder's maximum bid amount as a guarantee that if the contract is awarded to a bidder, said successful bidder will comply with the Notice to Bidders and the specification for the contract in accordance therewith. Said bid bond or certified check will be retained by the Village of Broadalbin, and upon completion of the contract, in accordance with said specifications, the said bid bond or certified check will be returned to the bidder. On failure to comply with the Notice to Bidders and the specifications for said contract, the successful bidder shall forfeit the deposit as liquidated damages to the Village of Broadalbin. The bidder to whom the contract will be awarded shall execute the contract and furnish required sureties within ten (10) days after the date of Notice of Award. Failure to do so will result in Bidder's forfeit of contract work and bid security. No bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the date set for the opening thereof. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of bids, or any authorized postponement thereof. The Village of Broadalbin and its representatives will not offer or supply anyone the list of people that have obtained a copy of these bid specifications or cost estimates for the project prior to the opening of the bids. NO EXCEPTIONS ARE MADE TO THIS POLICY. The Village of Broadalbin reserves the right to waive any informalities in or to reject any or all bids submitted or to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder who in the Village's judgment makes the most advantageous proposal to the Village of Broadalbin.
