Site work, paving, outdoor lighting and new construction of a mixed-use development in Swepsonville, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; playground / park / athletic field; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The Town of Swepsonville is requesting qualified professional design and construction management consulting firms to provide a statement of qualifications to provide professional services for the redevelopment of the Park. Such design and construction management services include and are not limited to: planning, engineering, site and landscape design, bid assistance, oversight and project administration. This project is expected to include: small ballfield, open space, pickleball courts, two play areas (traditional and nature based), parking, lighting, restrooms, multipurpose building, covered sitting area, walking trails, river overlook (with possibility of making into pedestrian bridge), drainage and stormwater management. Based on the understanding of the project, the following services are expected to include (but not limited to) the following: Land Planning (include and not limited to) Make recommendations for any adjustments needed to currently approved site plan based on site conditions Experience in coordinating with required agencies as needed to obtain required permits/approvals . Design Services (include and not limited to) Able to furnish plans and specifications that address all grading, stormwater drainage, erosion control, utilities (water, sewer, power, etc.), landscaping, turf, environmental permitting, sidewalks (ADA), vertical structures, and incidental improvements needed for functioning park Design multipurpose building to maximize its functionality and opportunities for the site Ability to furnish any and all architectural design components (whether in-house or contracted) necessary for intended structures. Construction Management Services (include and not limited to) Experience and ability to serve as Construction Manager and to prepare bid documents, prequalification inspection, pre-bid meetings, bid opening/evaluation, and project recommendations Provide necessary contract administration and construction inspections (estimated bi-weekly) Responsible for ensuring project remains on schedule and remains within budget The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time
