The District is soliciting bids for Perimeter Fencing and related path-of-travel requirements per DSA approved plans at 8 of its 9 campus. Consistent with Public Contract Code Section 20103.8 the lowest responsible bidder for the Project shall be determined using the method to calculate the bids with the lowest bid on the Base Bid without consideration of the prices on the additive or deductive items, and does not address issues of responsiveness or responsibility. To comply with California Assembly Bill AB 1565 and Board Policy 3311, the Brea Olinda School District requires general contractors to be pre-qualified for this construction project. The District uses and will accept pre-qualification through Planet Bids online portal only. Contractors who must pre-qualify for such projects include general contractors, as well as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing ("MEP") subcontractors. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code, and be licensed to perform the work called for in the Contract Documents. The successful bidder must possess a valid and active Class B -General Contractor. License at the time of bid and throughout the duration of this Contract.
