As of May 23, 2024, the bids were rejected and they will readvertise the project this fall. General work description: Replace the existing bridge with a cast-in-place concrete slab bridge, replace approximately 520-feet of Kibby Road with Class 2 aggregate base and hot mix asphalt. You must perform, place, construct, or install other items and details not mentioned that are required of the plans under the Standard Specifications and special provisions. The Contractor must have either a Class A license or a combination of class C licenses that make up a majority of the work. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, or bidders bond made payable to the COUNTY OF MERCED for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the amount of bid Question Deadline 10/31/2024 Inquires in writing to Alvaro Buenrostro, Supervising Engineer at the County of Merced - Department of Public Works, 345 West 7th Street, Building A, Merced, CA 95341-6685; email: ABuenrostro@countyofmerced.com. Complete work within 129 working days. The DBE Contract goal is (22%) twenty two percent. The COUNTY OF MERCED reserves the right to reject any or all bid proposals and to waive any informalities or irregularities in any bid or in the bidding.
