Question Deadline 05/19/2024 at 1:00 PM CT - Please post questions to site or via e-mail to kyle.williams@iowadot.us before the question cutoff deadline The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking bids for; Snowmelt Glycol Replacement at the Ankeny, IA MVD facility located at 6310 Convenience Blvd, Ankeny, IA 50021. Additional details may be found on the Line Item tab. Scope: Clean, flush and add fresh inhibited glycol to snowmelt system in sidewalk areas on Ankeny site Clean system and circulate for 48 hours Flush all fluid to remove bacteria Add further cleaning fluid and circulate for 1 week Flush all fluid again Add 30% inhibited food grade glycol mixed with RO water and make sure of no growth Check fluid after one month for any bacterial growth Provide data on all chemicals to be used in process Award: It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: Meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. Other factors may also include a comprehensive review of bidders as work performance and work capacity. Estimated start date- 07/01/2024 (The date shall be coordinated with the IDOT Project Manager. (This is the estimated start date after all required documents are received (i.e., Insurance, performance bond and vendor signed contract).
