School District U-46 is seeking bidders to resurface and restripe Ellis Middle School parking lots. Review by Board of Education June 10, 2024
Anticipated Approval by Board of Education June 24, 2024 Furnish all labor, equipment, and supplies necessary to complete the required milling,
resurfacing, and parking lot striping at Ellis Middle School, 225 S Liberty, Elgin.
18. Base Bid (orange section of map)
BB.Mill specified area colored in orange to 2.5 inches of depth and dispose of the
grindings at an authorized dump site. (Approximately 32,000 s/f)
CC. Adjust elevations of drainage structures as necessary to provide for
proper drainage.
DD. Provide power sweeper and vacuum truck to ensure a clean area for
asphalt to adhere.
EE.Repair or regrade any area where asphalt will not properly hold or cure.
FF. Prime entire area with SS-1 emulsion liquid asphalt primer or equivalent.
GG.Install 3" of hot bituminous asphalt surface mix, to be compacted to 2.5".
HH.Restripe parking lot according to current configuration.
i. All parking spaces must be lined in yellow
ii. All handicapped parking spots must have a blue box painted, with
standard white emblem inside.
