Roof replacement on the High School Practice Gym. All questions regarding the Request for Proposal should be directed via e-mail to the attention of: Lorrie McClenton, Director of Buildings & Grounds at lmcclenton@spsr6.org OVERVIEW Sikeston R-6 School District is seeking for proposals for the demo and installation of a new UPPER roof at the High School Practice Gym. This work is expected to be performed over summer and completed no later than August 10, 2024. SCOPE OF WORK Contractor will furnish labor, materials and equipment to complete the following scope of work. (Specs are written using Carlisle products. If bidding with a comparable product, please include details with your bid.) Remove the existing gravel stop and metal edge down to the existing wood blocking. All roofing fibers will be placed in trucks/dumpsters and hauled away by contactor At the perimeter of the roof, add treated 2"x6" wood blocking to match the new insulation thickness Apply one layer of Carlisle 1.5" Isocyanurate Roof Insulation and mechanically fasten through to the lightweight concrete decking using Carlisle fasteners and plates (or equivalent) at the rate of 1per 2 square feet. Over the first layer of Isocyanurate insulation apply a second layer of 2.0" Isocyanurate Roof Insulation adhered to the first layer using Carlisle FAST Dual Tank Urethane Adhesive applied in beads 6" on center. Total Isocyanurate Roof Insulation, thickness = 3.5" with R-value =20.0 Over the new Insulation apply a Carlisle 60 mil Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) Single-Ply Membrane. This consists of a white 60 mil sheet totally adhered to the roof insulation using Carlisle Bonding Adhesive. New Metal Gravel Stop and Metal Edge will be installed at the edge of the roof. This will be fabricated using 24 gauge Kynar Prefinished Metal, in a standard color. ALTERNATES Please include the following alternates in your bid: Alternate 1 - Include cost to demo and install new roof on lower roof areas using the same specs as above. Alternate 2 - Install a new 24 gauge Kynar prefinished metal fascia cover at the entire roof perimeter. This will cover the wood fascia and prevent deterioration. Alternate 3 - Use two layers of Carlisle 2.6: Isocyanurate Roof Insulation instead of the 3.5. This would be a total of 5.2" Isocyanurate and R-value of 30 for roof insulation. Alternate 4 - Remove and replace the gutters and downspouts using 24 gauge Kynar prefinished metal.
