The City of Sikeston is soliciting proposals for commercial cleaning services and separately serving as event attendants at Sikeston Clinton Building, and possibly park bathroom buildings at the Sikeston Recreation Complex for the City of Sikeston, Missouri. To provide building cleaning of Sikeston Clinton Building between events. Proposal should provide for: Proper Cleaning of Front Entry including glass areas; Proper Cleaning of Central foyer area; Proper Cleaning of both bathrooms; Proper Cleaning of Kitchen area including checking appliances after events; Proper Cleaning of Open Meeting Room Areas; Cleaning of Front Offices and Exterior is Excluded from this RFP; All cleaning supplies and equipment to be responsibility of vendor; Calendar of events will be submitted a month in advance. Frequency can range from one event per week to two per day for three consecutive days. Ability to work prior to early events or after late events would be required. A copy of the May 2024 calendar is attached for reference to workload. The Clinton Building meeting rooms have one large room that is approximately 3,685 sf, and it can be divided into two rooms: a 1/3 and 2/3 side which can both be rented concurrently. The award of any contract(s) will be made on the basis of the lowest and best proposal, as determined by the City of Sikeston. The proposal submitted is not a legally binding contract. The City of Sikeston reserves the right to cancel this solicitation at any time prior to making an award based on this solicitation. The City of Sikeston reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, and to waive any informality in proposals. Upon opening, all proposals become public record. Proposals must be good for thirty (30) days from date of submittal deadline. The City of Sikeston is exempt from Federal Excise, State and local taxes on all purchases and will provide a certificate of exemption upon request.
