The City of Sikeston, Missouri invites proposals for excavating a dewatering trench within the boundaries of the Sikeston Power Station's Fly Ash Impoundment. The Fly Ash Impoundment is an inactive 30-acre ash settling pond designed and constructed to receive and store coal combustion residuals (CCR) and process water. SPS is in the process of closing the Fly Ash Impoundment, which ini- tially requires dewatering the CCR within the impoundment. SPS is seeking a contractor, who is specifically experienced in working in, on, and around coal ash impoundments with heavy equipment. All wages paid for work under this contract shall comply with all requirements of the prevailing wage law of the state of Missouri, through Sec 290.340, as amended. The Sikeston Board of Municipal Utilities reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in bidding.
