Department of Environmental Conservation, Village Safe Water Attention: John McDonald Phone: 907-269-7602 Email: john.mcdonald@alaska.gov The Department of Environmental Conservation Village Safe Water Program (VSW) is seeking information on qualified vendors who are able to provide a pre-constructed or easy to assemble modular wastewater treatment plant to be used for the new school being constructed in Napakiak, Alaska (Community). Background Information: The Community is being moved farther in land due to shore erosion along the Kuskokwim River. Most of their school has been demolished and numerous homes have already been relocated. VSW is working with the Lower Kuskokwim School District (LKSD) to construct a new Community sewage lagoon. Until it can be completed, and the school is connected, it will need some way to treat its wastewater when classes are moved over to the new site in January 2025. To supplement the school's wastewater treatment a modular treatment plant will be required. This module will only be necessary for up to five years so the holding tank will need to be constructed above ground for ease of relocation. The tank will need to be insulated sufficiently to not freeze during the winter months. LKSD provided some estimates for the design criteria. The Community stated the design population would be 190 students and faculty in the school daily for 200 days per year. The design flow rate would need to be approximately 3,412 Gallons a day
