Question Cutoff 5/26/24 @ 11:00pm All questions related to this project are to be submitted through the site on or before the cut off date and time as indicated in the solicitation. The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking bids to furnish and install materials to remove and replace the existing 2" diameter water line from the building to the city connection making sure material connections can be made chemically. Update water main valve at the city connection. Location: Altoona Maintenance Garage 405 1st Ave N Altoona, IA 50009 Contract Award It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible contractor whose submitted quote is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. Other factors may also include a comprehensive review of bidders past work performance, and work capacity. Start date - After award End date- 6/30/24 (Must be inclusive of inspection and final acceptance date). Contractor is required to provide all materials, equipment and labor for the removal and replacement of material as per plans/specifications outlined on the Line Item tab. This includes the disposal of all debris off site. Davis-Bacon wages do not apply. This is a tax exempt project. IADOT - Water Line Replacement at the Altoona Maintenance Garage
