Request for Proposal Rfp #p24-105 Construction Support Services for the Morris County Department of Public Works, Replacement of the Morris County Road Department Building at 306 West Dewey Avenue, Wharton, Nj 07885 The County of Morris will be replacing an existing garage at the Morris County Department of Public Works Facility at 306 West Dewey Avenue. The existing steel framed, steel sheathed building will be removed as well as the existing building slab and foundation. A new 13,000 sf, 1 story, 30' tall building will be constructed in approximately the same location. This new building will include parking for 14 vehicles, office space, locker room, bathrooms, and support space for the Morris County Road Department. HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire suppression, and an oil / water separator are additional amenities within the building. All current codes having jurisdiction including, but not limited to, the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code and American with Disabilities Act must be met. Due to the extent of the project, the County has determined that Construction Support Services are needed. The Project construction cost has been estimated between $5 million to $7 million dollars; construction is estimated to begin August of 2024 and be completed before June 30, 2026. The bidding/ award phase; May / June 2024.
