HEDA Water and Wastewater System Improvements Contract I - Hinton Business Park Phase I - 4,100 L.F. 8" PE DR 11, 10-8" Gate Valves, 2 - Fire Hydrants and Valves, 60 L.F. - Directional Boring & 12" PE DR 11 Casing, 5 - Connections to Existing Water Lines, - Love's Extension - 1,150 L.F. 8" PE DR 11, 1,000 L.F. 12" PE DR 11, 3 - 8" Gate Valves, 2 - 12" Gate Valves, 2 - Fire Hydrants and Valves, 280 L.F. Directional Bore & 12" Steel Casing, 2 - Connections to Existing Waterline and all appurtenances. Contract II - Hinton Business Park Phase I - 1,480 L.F. 8" PE DR 13 Gravity Sewer Line, 5 - Manholes - Sparks North Addition - 1,830 L.F. 8" PE DR 13 Gravity Sewer Line, 6 - Manholes and all appurtenances Alternate Bid - 1,950 L.F. 12" PE DR 11, 1-12" Gate Valve, 1 Connection to Exist. WL, 1,500 L.F. - 8" PE DR 11, 2- 8" Gate Valves, 2 Connections to Existing WL and all appurtenances. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total amount bid shall be attached to all bids as a guarantee that the successful bidder will within ten (10) days from the date of notice of award, enter into contract and file the required bonds, and furnish a certificate of Workers' Compensation and General Contractors Liability Insurance. A PERFORMANCE BOND and a PAYMENT/STATUTORY BOND, MAINTENANCE BOND each in the amount of 100 PERCENT of the CONTRACT PRICE, with a corporate surety approved by the OWNER, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. BIDDER hereby agrees to commence WORK under this contract within ten (10) days of the date to be specified in the NOTICE TO PROCEED and to fully complete the PROJECT within 90 consecutive calendar days thereafter. BIDDER further agrees to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of $300.00 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter as provided in Section 15 of the General conditions. The OWNER may waive any informalities or minor defects or reject any and all BIDS. Any BID may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of BIDS or authorized postponement thereof.
