Yakima County solicits interest from consulting firms with expertise in concrete bridge demolition, design, and construction. Consultants will be considered for the following projects. The work to be performed by the CONSULTANT consists of preparing preliminary engineering design for the replacement of four low-volume Yakima County bridges, including geotechnical investigation, environmental documentation, permit applications, plans, specifications, and estimate. These are four separate projects, but due to their close proximity to each other and similar nature, they are to be designed by one bridge consultant. All four projects are estimated to start the design phase in July 2024 and complete by March 2026. These cost plus fixed fee agreements will be for approximately 24 months in duration with the option for Yakima County to extend it for additional time and money if necessary. Owner Rights: Yakima County reserves the right to amend terms of this "Request for Qualifications" (RFQ) to circulate various addenda, or to withdraw the RFQ at any time, regardless of how much time and effort consultants have spent on their responses.
