The Contractor shall perform field verification, provide equipment/engineering submittals, perform selective demolition, furnish and install all specified mechanical equipment, and provide final electrical connections. The work includes but is not limited to cast-in place concrete, concrete utilidor repair, potholing, surveying, earthwork, precast concrete vault, steel piping, HDPE piping, prefabricated direct bury piping, horizontal directional drilling, access doors, salt brine tank, and a triplex water softener system. The repair of existing rolled-grooved joint fittings, couplings, and valves on the heating hot water piping system consists of the removal and replacement with new fittings, couplings, valves, flanges, etc. to form a fully welded, flanged, or threaded piping system. The Contractor shall coordinate state permitting and inspections, provide factory authorized startup, testing, and commissioning. Work covered shall consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, supplies and materials in performing all operations necessary for the installation of complete and operational utility systems. A bid security of not less than 5% of the bid price is required when the price is estimated to be $50,000 or more. The security shall be a bond by a surety company, the equivalent in cash, or otherwise supplied in a form satisfactory for the State. Noncompliance requires the bid to be rejected as nonresponsive.
