This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in San Marcos, Texas. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.

The scope of the project includes but is not limited to the provision of maintenance and construction services for City of San Marcos Electric Distribution as identified by the Owner and may be executed utilizing multiple IDIQ Work Orders as necessary, in accordance with all contract plans, specifications, and contract requirements. The estimated annual construction cost is $1,800,000. The initial IDIQ Contract term is effective for all purposes as of the date of the last signature in the Owner-Contractor Agreement and will extend for a base period of three (3) years from the Contract Effective Date. The Owner may renew the Contract for two (2) additional one year periods or until funds are exhausted. The Owner will issue individual Work Orders against this Contract on a project-by-project basis. The Contract and any subsequent renewal periods are subject to the availability of funding in accordance with Section 16 of the General Conditions. In the event the Owner decides to extend or renew the Contract, Owner will issue a Notice of Contract Renewal for execution by the Contractor. All Bids shall be accompanied by an acceptable Bid guaranty in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total greatest amount bid, including all additive alternatives. The guaranty may be a certified check, bank draft, or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value). A check or bond must be made payable to the City of San Marcos. Cash deposits will not be accepted. A bid bond submitted on any form other than the one included herein will be grounds for bid rejection. All requests for interpretation of the Contract Documents during the bidding process or regarding this Invitation for Bid MUST be submitted to the City Purchasing Manager. Inquiries will be emailed to Rachel Shelton, Procurement Program Administrator at RShelton@sanmarcostx.gov and will include a contact name and email address. The Owner will consider all inquiries received at least fifteen (15) calendar days received prior to the bid opening date. City Council award is anticipated to be on July 2, 2024, at 6:00 PM, City Hall Council Chambers, 630 East Hopkins Street, San Marcos, Texas 78666, unless otherwise rescheduled. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any minor informality in any Bid or solicitation procedure, whenever the City deems the rejection or waiver to be in its best interest (a minor informality is one that does not affect the competitiveness of the Bid).
