The buildings are wood construction and were constructed in 1977. There are ten (10) student restrooms per building. The primary projects tasks include: A.Demolition and disposal of the existing bathtubs. B.Demolition and disposal of the existing vanity. C.Demolition of the existing gypsum board on the three (03) sides around the bathtub. D.The removal of the bathtubs and vanities will expose a void with the existing floor. The voids will be filled and leveled with a water-resistant grout. E.Installation of water resistive gypsum board / concrete board on the three sides surrounding the bathtub location. Tape and mud all joints. Exposed joints to be finished, ready for painting. F.Install the specified modular walk-in shower base. G.Install a modular, multi-piece, fiberglass shower unit. H.Procure and install the specified rough-in water flow valve, the finished shower head, and water selection lever. Contractor responsible for performing all water line modifications to ensure proper connection and penetrations through the new shower section and ensure a drain connection.
