Vision lite repair or replacement. Misc wood trim. Sealant installation. Touch up painting. Cleaning of glass and window framing. Replacement or providing of interior panel signage. Concrete floor repair and refinishing. Expansion joint installation. Exterior General Construction work in the Bid Package includes but is not limited to: - Cleaning of storefront framing and glass marked by construction material. Cleaning of cast stone sills and some exterior brick. Installation of expansion joint covers and joint sealant. Installing roof drain extensions. Reframing fascia and soffit at top of stair towers. Some painting. Site Work includes but is not limited to asphalt repair, concrete expansion joints, sealant installation, concrete parging and installation of handrails. As a clarification, there is no scope related to HVAC, Electrical or Plumbing work. Contract 1 - General Construction Contractor Peters Township School District is soliciting bids for a General Construction Contractor for the High School Renovation Project. All Bids must be in sealed envelopes, clearly marked to identify the project being bid, and hand delivered or delivered by traceable means no later than 3:00 PM local time on Thursday, May 16, 2024 to Mr. Brad Rau, Business Manager, Peters Township School District, 631 East McMurray Road, McMurray, PA 15317. The Bids will be read publicly aloud soon after 3:00 PM. Electronic or faxed bids will not be accepted. No award of the contract will be made at the bid opening. A Pre-Bid Meeting and site walk will be held Monday, May 6, 2024 at 3:00 PM. Bidders will meet at the High School Cafeteria located at 121 Rolling Hills Drive, McMurray, PA 15317 for a brief meeting, followed by an optional site visit. This is a non-mandatory meeting, though Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. Prime Bidders' proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, certified bank treasurer's check, bank cashier's check, or bid bond in the form included with the bidding documents. A satisfactory corporate surety shall provide security in an amount equal to 10% of the base bid together with the aggregate sum of all additive alternates. The surety shall name as payee or obligee the Peters Township School District. Notice is hereby given that the Peters Township School District for which construction proposals are being solicited hereby is a construction project constructed by a public entity constituting public works and is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates and other applicable Acts. All proposals shall be irrevocable for sixty (60) days after bid opening date, unless delayed due to required approvals of another governmental agency, sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which case bids shall be irrevocable for one hundred twenty (120) days.
