Saving Project...

Site work and paving for a road / highway in Snoqualmie, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

https://www.valleyrecord.com/news/snoqualmie-passes-62-million-plan-for-future-city-projects/ During its July 8 meeting, the Snoqualmie City Council voted to approve the $62 million 2025-2030 Non-Utilities Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) to guide investments and improvements to the city’s parks, infrastructure and transportation. The CIP, a financial management tool required by the Washington State Growth Management Act for estimating project costs and financing sources, has set the city’s intentions for 22 projects over the next several years. Before proceeding, all projects included in the CIP must be approved separately by the council. “This Non-Utilities Capital Improvement Plan was the result of collaboration and community feedback and will guide our ongoing commitment to protecting and enhancing the high quality of life Snoqualmie residents enjoy,” said Snoqualmie Mayor Katherine Ross. Nearly $19 million in taxes and grants will go toward the Community Center Expansion Project and pool addition at the Snoqualmie Family YMCA, which the council approved during the same meeting. According to AB24-075×3 Resolution 1693, the project will break ground in 2025, once a $5.2 million funding gap is filled and a construction contract is signed. Sales and real estate taxes account for $20.2 million of the $29 million total project cost. Once $2.5 million in YMCA funds and a $1 million King County Aquatics Grant are taken into account, the $5.2 million gap remains. Other CIP items include street resurfacing, sidewalk improvements, playground and trail replacements and updates to the local fire and police stations. -------------------------------------------- Road Maintenance and Repair Project Description of Work: This project involves various maintenance and repair tasks across the City of Snoqualmie. Applying slurry seal on Fir Street conducting crack sealing on multiple roads, performing full depth repair at one intersection, crack sealing parking lots in city parks, and grind and overlay work on Park Street. The City may reject any bid not accompanied by bid security or data required by the bid documents. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid proposal must be submitted with the bid proposal. Factors considered in award of the contract will include the Contractor's experience and performance on previous contracts. For questions regarding the project, contact Hind Ahmed (Project Engineer) at 425-507-5480 or HAhmed@snoqualmiewa.gov.
