The Township of Marlette is seeking bids for mowing services of township grounds for the period beginning May 2024 through mid-October 2026, or as the weather dictates. BIDS MAY BE SUBMITTED UNDER OPTION 1, OPTION 2 OR BOTH: OPTION #1: The contractor agrees to furnish all equipment, fuel, materials, and labor necessary to maintain the grounds, except top soil, fill dirt and/or gravel which will be provided by the Township as needed. OPTION #2: The contractor agrees to use the township mower and fuel, however provides labor necessary and any other materials required for meeting the terms listed in the below "Responsibilities" listing. Top soil, fill dirt and/or gravel which will be provided by the Township as needed. Responsibilities for Option #1 and Option #2 include: o trim at each mowing, keeping fixed structures, lighting, fencing, etc. clean of cut grass; and o removal of grass if grass is unusually long when mowed; and o spring cleaning of debris left from winter season; and o trim bushes and/or shrubbery as needed; and o keep facility sidewalks clear of leaves, cut grass, and weeds growing inside any cracks that have developed; and o Fill in any holes or ruts that have developed in the maintained grounds area; and o Must comply with Airport Operations and Safety right of way (Radio and Flashing Lights). Grounds to be maintained are as follows: o Marlette Township Municipal Offices and Airport Terminal Building located at 6725 Airport Road. o Marlette Township Airport Grounds located at 6725 Airport Road. Failure to perform the responsibilities listed above may result in the contract becoming void and therefore the Township would have the right to hire a different contractor without penalty. The Township of Marlette reserves the right to turn down any or all bids received. The contractor hired will be required to provide a Certificate of Insurance listing the Township of Marlette as Loss Payee, and a written contract for the services to be provided.
