Construction of a channel bank stabilization and riprap project. The project is located along Shell Creek, south of road D between Road 15 and Road 16 in Colfax County, Nebraska. The project is referred to as "Shell Creek 2024 Bank Stabilization" and shall include all labor, materials, transportation and equipment required to channel shape two areas of the Shell Creek north and south stream bank, tree root ball placement, rock riprap and related incidental work. Along with its Bid Proposal, each bidder shall submit an unconditional Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the County Treasurer of Colfax County, Nebraska, in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the Bid Proposal. Also, each bidder is to include an estimated delivery date with its Bid Proposal. The desired completion date is September 1, 2024. The successful bidder (i.e. Contractor) will be allowed thirty (30) calendar days for completion, after beginning work at the site. Within ten (10) days following the award of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish a surety bond or bonds in an amount equal to or greater than the full amount of the contract. The surety and form of the bonds are subject to acceptance by the Colfax County Board of Commissioners.
