This is a multi-year project consisting of the addition of turning lanes and ultimately the installation of a traffic signal. DA fees have been collected and will be used to pay for the design and construction of the turning lanes. Signal warrants have been meet to justify this signal however due to the length of time to obtain environmental permits a temporary signal is being permitted as an interim safety improvement. Regional traffic growth on Argent Blvd coupled with development in the East Argent area have created a need for roadway improvements. Turns from side streets have become increasingly difficult and have been a contributer to collisions. Permanent intersection improvements will continue to be designed and ultimately constructed. Approximately $350,000 will be expended in FY24 for initial design of both permanent and temporary improvements and installation of temporary signal. Project is included City of Hardeeville Fiscal Year 2025-2030. As of August 28, 2025, per owner, engineer and contractor identified.
