Sealed Quotes/Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: 1. 150 kW Standby Generator and 1000 Gallon Underground Propane Tank with reinforced concrete foundations and electrical controls at Water Treatment Plant on Walnut Avenue. 2. 60 kW Standby Generator and 500 Gallon Underground Propane Tank with reinforced concrete foundations and electrical and controls at Wastewater Treatment Plant on C Avenue. This project is being supported, in whole or in part, by federal award number 612- TX1626 awarded to the City of Walnut Springs by the U.S Department of the Treasury. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Walnut Spring or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The Bidder should use unit pricing. At the time of contract execution, a payment and performance bond will be required. A. The work will be at the Walnut Springs Water Treatment Plant and at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Reference the Site Location Map on the Cover Sheet of the drawings. B. Work of the project at The Water Treatment Plant includes, the addition of a new outdoor 150 kW Standby Generator, propane tank, automatic transfer switch and switchrack, concrete support structure, and associated electrical, and mechanical work. Remove and dispose existing generator. C. Work of the project includes at The Wastewater Treatment Plant includes the addition of a Standby Generator, propane tank, fuel piping, concrete pad, and associated electrical, and mechanical work. The Automatic Transfer Switch is existing and is to be reused. Remove and dispose of existing generator. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the U.S. Department of Labor, and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin.
