Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in North Brunswick, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The project generally consists of roadway excavation, pavement milling, the furnishing and installation of dense graded aggregate base course, hot mix asphalt base course, and hot mix asphalt surface course, including sweeping, tack coating, and other pavement preparation and related work. The project also includes the removal and replacement of curbs, sidewalks and driveway aprons, driveway restoration, storm drainage improvements, water main improvements and all other associated work and services in accordance with the Contract Documents. Work on additional roadways may be ordered, if deemed necessary by the Township Mayor and Township Council. Each Bid must be accompanied by Bid security in the form of a certified or cashier's check or Bid bond in an amount of not less than ten percent, (10%) of the Bid amount, but not in excess of $20,000, payable without any conditional endorsement as a guarantee that in case the contract is awarded to the Bidder, Bidder will within ten (10) days thereafter execute such contract and furnish the performance and payment bond required by the Bid Documents. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all Bids in accordance with applicable law.
