For Broadband Fiber Build Out For the purposes of the RFP, the buyer is Ernesto Marquez email Ernesto.Marquez@asu.edu Deadline for Inquiries: 11:00 A.M., AZ Time, 05/8/2024 Arizona State University (ASU) seeks to engage private and public sector providers, vendors, consultants, and distributors of relevant hardware and devices to work under ASUs direction to deliver broadband digital infrastructure and access to underserved communities throughout the greater Maricopa County. By underserved communities, ASU means those neighborhoods throughout the region who have low availability, adoption and use of broadband technologies. ASUs commitment to being socially embedded is informed by our mission of making high quality education and education opportunities available to the communities that we live and work in across the region. Robust, broadly available broadband infrastructure supports our communities and makes available innovative information technologies services or cyberinfrastructure to support faculty, researchers, and students. We invite innovative proposals responsive to ASU's intent to deliver broadband access to the communities we serve, increase digital equity throughout Maricopa County, and continue ASUs position as a national leader in innovation, public service, and in the advanced use of technology. ASUs approach to partnering with the community is premised on our understanding and commitment to building community capacity through innovative and effective partnerships with community anchor institutions. These community based assets are physically located within the communities that we seek to serve and advance. Community anchor institutions include schools, museums, libraries, healthcare facilities, community centers, houses of worship and other longstanding community assets. Broadband Buildout: We seek proposals that will best meet this intent. Successful proposals will offer co-investment or establish alternative modalities of cooperation to deliver middle-mile and\or last-mile broadband Internet connectivity at no less than 100 Mbps symmetrical to anchor institutions, sites, and county residents.
