Carbon School District Is Now Accepting Proposals For Replacing Classroom Cabinets In Two Buildings. Project Will Include The Removal Of Old Cabinets And Installation Of New Ones In Six Classrooms. Submit Detailed Proposals, Costs, And Timelines By Evaluation Based On Quality, Cost, Timeline, Experience, And References. Selected Vendors Must Provide Insurance And Bonding. The contractor will be responsible for the following: - Providing the District with a detailed proposal that includes the following: -Measurement and calculations for removal and installation of cabinets, countertops, doors, cap ends and other features that vary by classroom and school. This must be scheduled with the Facilities Supervisor and done in person prior to submitting a bid. As options change year to year on availability of product and the desired architectural look of the space, this is coordinated through an on-site review prior to bidding. All interested contractors will be given the same information. - Appointments may be scheduled through contacting the CSD Maintenance Department at 435-637-1342 - Estimated cost of materials and installation - Provide timeline/ schedule for completion of the project over the summer break - NOTE: If installation cannot be completed over the summer vacation period, then a proposal for installation of remaining work can be presented to complete any remaining work over vacation periods through the remainder of the 2024/2025 school year. Coordinate with the Facilities Supervisor for dates. - Removal and disposal of old cabinets in an environmentally responsible manner It is not expected for any hazardous materials (i.e. Asbestos) to be encountered during this project. In the event that any suspicious materials are discovered, work will be stopped while investigations and mitigations (if necessary) are made. - Preparation - Measure existing cabinetry and create take-off plans for replacement materials. - Coordinate with CSD maintenance team to shut off water supply to sink, disconnect power supply and other work required before removal of old cabinetry. - Installation - Building access will be provided to the successful contractor to install cabinets at their discretion during the allotted time. - Properly install the new cabinets, countertops, doors, or side panels as outlined in the take-off schedule for each space. - Coordinate with the CSD maintenance team to assist with electrical and plumbing connections and activation. - Clean-up and Final Inspection - Cleaning the work area and disposing of any waste is the responsibility of the contractor. - Conducting a final inspection with the District Facilities Supervisor and school Principal to ensure that the work is completed to the District's satisfaction. Wellington Elementary: Classrooms 15, 16, 17, 18 Creekview Elementary: Classrooms 0, 1, 111 Helper Middle School: Stage fronts.
