Pre-Bid Meeting No Online Q&A Yes Q&A Deadline 05/17/2024 5:00 PM (PDT) This project aims to design a plan for widening Limonite Avenue from Bain Street to Homestead Street, including necessary drainage improvements. The scope of work will consist of the Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E) Phase of the project. The existing conditions include two (2) travel lanes without curb and gutter. The proposed project widens Limonite Avenue to provide two (2) additional travel lanes, a raised center median and the addition of curb and gutter. An equestrian use trail will be added and located on the North side of the street while a multi-use path will be located on the South side. The project will include a culvert crossing at the Pyrite Channel located east of Bain Street and west of Beach Street. The plan must be designed according to Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (RCFC&WCD) Standards. In addition to the widening, the design shall raise the vertical roadway design profile to accommodate the culvert crossing while providing clearance for existing and proposed utilities. A draft set of the Limonite Avenue widening plans was previously prepared and deemed 90 percent complete and will be included for reference. CAD files will be made available to the selected consultant. Since completing the 90% design, the Riverside County Flood Control District has completed the Draft Pyrite Area MDP Study which identified greater flows than originally accounted. The culvert will need a new stand-alone design set of plans. Previous street improvement, the right of way, environmental documents and utility information will be included for reference.
