Renovation of a mixed-use development in Jurupa Valley, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

This project is to provide and install DMP intrusion system replacing existing systems, to be verified during bid site walk visits. At the following JUSD sites, (7) locations: Patriot High School, Jurupa Valley High School, Jurupa Adult School (The Learning Center), Rubidoux High School, Mira Loma Middle School, Indian Hills Elementary, Peralta Elementary School. This project includes all necessary labor, tools, materials, and equipment to accomplish the work shown in the bid documents and as described herein. Question Deadline: 06/18/2024 at 12:00 PM PT, Request for information May be submitted to Ashley Pena, Senior Buyer, via e-mail at ashley_pena@jusd.k12.ca.us. The class of California contractor's license required to bid on and perform the contract for this Project is: C-7 and/or C-10. Licenses must be valid and active at the time of award of bid. Each bid must be submitted with security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum bid amount as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed contract, including all required Contract Documents. Such security must be in one of the following forms: (1) a cashier's check or certified check made payable to the District; or (2) a bond made payable to the District in the form outlined in the Contract Documents. Any bond must have been issued by a California-admitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120. Bids must be submitted on District bid forms only. If any other forms are submitted by the Contractor such as but not limited to, additional or modified terms and conditions, the District may deduct points from the Contractor's bid or deem the Contractor non-responsive. BID PROCESS: The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding. Except as provided in Public Contract Code Section 5100 et sq., no bidder may withdraw a bid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the opening of the bids. The successful bidder will be required to provide both a performance bond and a separate payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total contract amount. The forms of the bond are outlined in the Contract Documents and all bonds must be issued by a California-admitted surety as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120. PREVAILING WAGES: The successful bidder and each of its subcontractors of any tier will be required to pay not less than the general prevailing rates of per-diem wages in the locality in which the work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract ("Prevailing Wages"). A copy of the per-diem rates of Prevailing Wages is available on the Department of Industrial Relations ("DIR") website and a copy shall be posted at the Project site by the bidder. Pursuant to Labor Code sections 1725.5 and 1771.1, all contractors and subcontractors that wish to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, or enter into a contract to perform public work, must be registered with the DIR. No bid will be accepted nor any contract entered without proof of the contractor's and subcontractor's current registration with the DIR to perform public work. If awarded a contract, the bidder and its subcontractors, of any tier, shall maintain active registrations with the DIR for the duration of the Project. This Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. In bidding on this Project, it shall be the bidder's sole responsibility to evaluate and include the cost of complying with all labor compliance requirements under this contract and applicable law in its bid. DVBE: Where applicable, bidders must meet the requirements outlined in Public Contract Code Section 10115 et seq., Military and Veterans Code Section 999 et seq., and California Code of Regulations, Title 2, Section 1896.60 et seq. regarding Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise ("DVBE") Programs. Bidders may contact the District for details regarding the District's DVBE participation goals and requirements. Scope of Work: This project includes all necessary labor, tools, materials, and equipment to accomplish this work, reference additional details on scope of project description section on the bid documents. This project is to provide and install DMP intrusion system replacing existing systems, to be verified during bid site walk visits.
