Lions Park Basketball Court Repair and Replacement Option #1, Repair/ Resurface Basketball Court: A- Patch and seal all cracks. B- Apply a Petro Tac Membrane over the cracked areas. C- Apply 2" of Hot mix asphalt over the entire court 50'X90', and roll. D- Apply (1) coat of Acrylic resurfacer to seal Asphalt. E- Apply (2) coats of Har-Tru Sports Coatings (or Industry Equivalent). F- Paint in white all required basketball lines to include both Keys and 3-point lines. G- Guarantee court for a period of (2) years against cracking, peeling and fading Option #2, Excavation of current Court, plus option #1. A- Excavate entire 50'X90" Basketball court Surface replace full depth with new asphalt, and roll. B- Apply (1) coat of acrylic resurfacer to seal asphalt. C- Apply (2) coats of Har-Tru Sports Coatings ( or industry Equivalent). D- Paint in white all required basketball lines to include both keys and 3-point lines. E- Guarantee court for a period of (2) years against cracking, peeling and fading. Work Shall be completed within 90 days of notice of award being issued, payment shall be made following inspection and approval of Town Manager. Upon written notice from the Vendor that the project is complete, the Owner will make a final inspection with the Vendor and will notify the Vendor verbally/ as well as in writing of any particulars in which this inspection reveals that the work is not complete and/or what is expected. The Vendor shall immediately make such correction as are necessary to remedy such defects. Question Deadline 05/16/2024 Technical questions may arise as firms are preparing their proposals. The Town will accept written inquiries regarding this RFP until seven (7) working days prior to the RFP due date. Questions received after that time will not be responded to. Answers to questions that warrant attention of all the potential proposers will be distributed in the form of an addendum. The Town of Smithsburg reserves the right, at any time, to modify, waive or otherwise vary the terms and conditions of this RFP including, but not limited to, the deadlines for submission and submission requirements. The Town further reserves the right to reject any or all submittals, to cancel or withdraw this RFP at any time and to negotiate with any party prior to or after submittal of proposals. Selection is also dependent upon the negotiation of a mutually acceptable contract with the successful proposers.
