The work of constructing AMR Meters - Material DWSRF will be let under one Contract, the principal items of work are detailed herein below. 1. 600 3/4" Meters 2. 300 3/4" Check Valves This is a BABA Project and a letter from manufacturers will be required for all material used in the project The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond for one hundred (100%) percent of the bid amount and a Payment Bond for one hundred (100%) percent of the bid amount and must secure his bond from a bonding company's representative or agent in the State of Alabama. The contractor is hereby advised that time is of the essence on this project and that the contract time of 120 consecutive calendar days and noted restrictions shall be strictly observed. Liquidated damages will be assessed if the contract time is exceeded. The contractor may apply for an extension of time in accordance with the provisions of the contract; however, such an extension must be approved prior to the contract completion date to avoid the imposition of liquidated damages. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid, and to accept any bid considered advantageous to the Owner. Document Note: No refunds will be made except to Prime Contractor Bidders, which shall be refunded for one bid set.
